With a first class county record at Sussex and the top Twenty20 domestic score of 346 runs in 2007, Luke Wright was quickly proving himself as a promising England all-rounder. A half-century hit at his ODI debut at The Oval confirmed his place as a key member of England’s Twenty20 and ODI squads.
Following strong international performances, including a timely over which secured a tie against New Zealand at Napier in 2008, Wright has been notably drafted in as a potential mainstay for the post-Flintoff Test team.
